A non-profit event organized to promote music and artistic excellence.
ABOUT
Our aim is to affirm and reinforce the value of the classical guitar, promoting it as a solo instrument through competitions, recitals, workshops and masterclasses.
In this first edition, we will be joined by one of the world's leading guitarists, who has brought a whole new dimension to the interpretation of classical guitar: Joaquín Clerch, concert guitarist, composer and head teacher of one of today's best guitar classes at the Robert Schumann Hochschule in Düsseldorf, Germany. We also have Cuban guitarist Junior César Sarracent, an adjunct professor at the Robert Schumann Hochschule. From Portugal, there will be guitarist Francisco Gomes, a key figure in the
evolution of the guitar in the country, teaching at the Barcelos Conservatory of Music, and Ricardo Barceló, principal lecturer at the University of Minho. From Italy, we will have the composer Simone Fontanelli, recognized worldwide for his ability to understand and interconnect music, painting and literature, being a great reference in the composition of classical music. From Spain, the master of Baroque music Pablo Zapico, widely recognized for his transcriptions, compositions and interpretations of works from the Baroque period.
The line-up also includes promising young guitarists: Alex de Sousa, founder of the ARS Guitar Festival, a native of Monção who is currently studying at the Universität Mozarteum in Salzburg with Eliot Fisk and at the Robert Schumann Hochschule in Düsseldorf with Joaquín Clerch; and Julia Trintschuk, a native of Germany who studied at the Robert Schumann Hochschule with Joaquín Clerch and is considered to have great promise worldwide.
